We love getting to know you and your pet! It is important to us that we form a long lasting bond with all of our clients and patients, and we would love for you to meet our staff members here at Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic.
Joan is our licensed veterinary technician here at Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic. Joan has been in the veterinary field for over 11 years and has enjoyed every minute of it. Joan is currently engaged to be married to a wonderful man, and together they have two amazing cats.
One of the cats name is Nibbler and the other is Arya, and yes that is from the Game of Thrones. Arya is the new addition to their family and she is very playful, but they love them both! She is ecstatic to be part of this team and looking forward to treating the patients.
Angelo always had an interest in helping animals since he was a young boy, especially dogs and reptiles. He is very excited and honored to be part of our team. He is hoping to be a licensed technician in his near future.
Ann has always loved animals. Her mother told her when she was married she could have as many pets as she wanted, so when she married she had 5 cats and 2 dogs. Ann started working for Dr. Gross at East Meadow Animal Hospital in 1972 and has been with him since, working at Locust Valley Vet since it opened in 2003.
She also worked for the Nassau Animal Emergency Clinic for 6 years until it closed. Ann loves her job and what she does. She currently has 3 dogs, Forest a lab mix, Peanut a Rat Terrier mix and Callie an Australian Shepherd who is deaf.
Always an avid animal lover, Tova grew up with cats and dogs at home, and often spent childhood weekends volunteering on farms to work with goats, cows and chickens. She also spent many years riding horses. Tova is catmom to Po, her handsome Siamese baby boy. Recently relocating to Long Island from the Hudson Valley, Tova is excited to be joining the Locust Valley team, where she can work with animals and their owners on a daily basis. When not behind the desk, Tova is a certified yoga instructor and a Reiki Master.
Christina is a senior at Mercy College studying veterinary technology and has previously worked at the AMC.She hopes to attend vet school and to get a PhD in cellular pathology and to study biomarkers for veterinary diseases.
Lisa has been the bookkeeper, as well as a part-time manager and receptionist at Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic since it has opened it 2003. Even though her schooling and background is in fashion and jewelry design in NYC, she left it all behind to come back to her roots & her love for animals.
It was only natural to work in the veterinary field being that her father is a veterinarian and she grew up on a horse farm surrounded by many animals. Growing up in the area, she has known many of our clients since childhood and loves assisting them as well as all clients, with any concerns or questions they might have! She and her husband Myles have 4 year old twins, Ella & Logan who would soon love to have a household full of puppies. For now, they have two cats named Buster and Bootsy and are considering a fish. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, hiking, horseback riding, traveling, and arguing with her husband over which dog breed(s) will be a great addition to their family!
Alison has always had a love for animals. She spent 10 years running the horse program at the YMCA and joined the Locust Valley Vet team in 2015, but has worked here previously for several years. Alison is happily married living in Glen Cove with two young children, two dogs and five cats. She hopes to one day become a licensed vet tech. She is a great asset to our team and we are grateful to have her back here at Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic.
